Join us Sunday, September 24, 2017 for our dinner series, “Sunday Nights at Grandmas.” This month we will be featuring a local Italian grandmother to wow us with her most famous recipes. This is a family focused event, so gather up your loved ones and join us for a night to remember!

This month's Italian dinner will be brought to you by Chef Colleen Serra. Below is a small bio:

"My life has been centered around beautiful food, from the day I was born. My father's parents. my grandparents owned a farm. There were animals, flower gardens, fruit trees and acres of vegetables. Most of my childhood was spent on the farm playing with animals and foraging the woods for wild mushrooms and asparagus with my grandfather. Every Sunday there was a large family picnic. We all participated in cooking large amounts of food including fabulous desserts. Growing up in this manner gives you a certain respect for the land , animals. and seasonal foods

I am a third Generation Confectionery Artist. My Great Grandmother sold her confections at Detroit's Eastern Market.I would like to give back to my community by sharing my knowledge and skill with them."

The menu will be as follows:

*Caponata Appetizer with Panelle (Sicilian Eggplant Stew with Chick Pea Bread)

* Giant Raviolo al Uovo (Giant Spinach Ricotta Raviolo with a whole egg yolk center. Embellished with Pomodoro Sauce)

* Pesce Spada in Samorighlio Sauce (Stuffed swordfish rolls bathed a light garlic lemon and caper sauce)

*Beef Braciole served with Pomodoro sauce on a bed of creamy polenta (Thinly sliced steak rolled around, cheeses, meats and breadcrumbs)

*Rupini al olio (Tender Broccoli Rabe greens sauteed with olive oil lemon, garlic)

*Dolce. Stella Rose Creamery (Straciatella Gelato served with Italian Peach Cookies with Dulce de Leche)

Doors will open at 5 and dinner will begin promptly at 5:30. Tickets are $33 each (Ages 11 and up) and kids (10 and under) are $18. Dinner service will be family style and a cash bar will be provided. Sodas and non-alcoholic beverages are included.

Please note there are NO REFUNDS. Walk-ins are not accepted.

Please note it is assigned tables, not assigned seats. You must register with whom you wish to sit with. Table selection and seating are not guaranteed.
